Fair Work Part Time Agreement

With regard to the transition from full-time or part-time to casual employment, the usual rules of termination of employment apply, in particular: some Modern Awards refer to an “ordinary employee”, who is a casual employee who works regularly and systematically. After six (6) months of work as an ordinary worker, these types of employees have the option to leave either full-time or part-time. Part-time assistants have rights such as annual leave, sick leave and care leave in proportion to their working time. Unlike casual workers, part-time workers are also guaranteed permanent employment (or a fixed-term contract) and must resign or get fired to terminate their employment.
